For an Area of Special Interest (ASI) in Statistics, the student should take:

• MATH-323 - Probability & Statistics for Engineers
• MATH-334 - Intro. to Probability
• MATH-335 - Intro. to Mathematical Statistics
• MATH-424 - Introduction to Applied Statistics

For a Minor in Statistics, in addition to the courses listed for an ASI, the student should also take 2 courses (6 credit hours) from the courses listed below:

• MATH-432 - Spatial Statistics
• MATH-436 - Advanced Statistical Modeling
• MATH-438 - Stochastic Models
• MATH-439 - Survival Analysis
• MATH-498 - Special Topics (in Statistics)
