To help you on your decision, your education and your future, and to give you some idea as to the wealth of possibilities that exist for math or statistics major, we've gathered many links to the available resources around the internet.   • American Mathematical Society (AMS): (though also called AMS, they were around before we were) this site contains a great deal of information on not only jobs and graduate school but also internships and REUs (Research Experience for Undergraduates).
  • Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM): another important math organization that provides an abundance of information for our majors. (by the way, we also have a campus chapter of SIAM. If you're interested, Check us out!)
  • Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM): Though a stroll across campus may make you think otherwise, the sciences and, specifically, mathematics are not just for men. The AWM site provides a large numbers of links for information for graduate students, undergraduates and job seekers, as well as lists of activities of colleges throughout the world.
  • Prof. Mandy Hering's Homepage: Our own statistician has consolidated lots of information and links for Statistics majors near the bottom of her homepage.
  • CSM Career Center: For specific information for Mines students, check out the CSM Career Center. They are always available to answer any questions you may have.
