Evidence-based best practices in teaching, learning, and undergraduate research

The scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) involves the systemic inquiry into student learning which advances the practice of teaching in higher education and research in undergraduate mathematics education (RUME) focuses on understanding processes involved in acquiring mathematical knowledge, skills, beliefs, and attitudes. Research in AMS has included, but is not limited to active learning, flipped classrooms, outcomes-based grading, course coordination, and writing in mathematical instruction.
